Fair point. That quote does seem notable bc he's said it a few times, right? I think you're right that Matthews is the guy they're keeping tabs on, as they should. I have no idea what that would cost and if it's even going to happen. Thomas is just easier to estimate in terms of time/trade value.

This team needs to swing another big trade for a Center but without moving Martone, MM39, Z, Foerster, Tip, Barkey, Drysdale, Jiricek.

Thank God we saw what we did last year otherwise this year would be terrifying. He looks like a shell of what he was last year and he himself has described his off season as “taking four months off.” He’s said that twice and he rarely speaks. If he trains properly, he’s a star.
