I don’t know how anyone could have predicted that …. Says all the pollies who strenuously ignored attempts by Independents and Greens to legislate truth in political advertising.

The Hunger Gap A gulf in public understanding prevents us from seeing how and why our food supply is at risk.

In 2023, I sought to explain to a parliamentary committee what a structural collapse of the global food system would look like, and why this this is plausible - even likely. I think the likelihood has just ratcheted up a notch. I beg you to read and understand. Thanks

I’d like to see an international legal analysis on this. I’m guessing there are several serious breaches to deny basic needs.

A war between Iran, America, and Israel.

The result:
The closure of the crossings in Gaza and the prevention of food and medicine from entering.

It's clear we in Gaza have a strange characteristic:
Whenever anyone in the world gets angry… we die.
The genocide continues…
famine strikes again!

Albanese says Australia supports US action against Iran and stands with the Iranian people’s ‘struggle against oppression’ Department of foreign affairs warns travellers of risk of reprisal attacks, further escalation and flight cancellations in Middle East

It’s clear Australian governments no longer follow or respect international law. I am no fan of Iran, a terrible dictatorship, but you can’t just decide to initiate war.

What nonsense. Like all LNP politicians these days their quasi policies and postulations have no basis in evidence other than their opinion.

I can’t believe how easily they get away with lying. Is there no contempt for parliament response ?

The government claimed it was monitoring dodgy job service providers using an app. It doesn't exist 'What this exposes is just how little the department is prepared to do, even after two bootings from the Ombudsman.'

I'm at it again: great ontological debate about welfare 'compliance' app govt told Ombudsman it built to monitor dodgy job service providers but which doesn't exist. No documents point to it. Instead they use 'existing processes'. And haven't they been so effective. www.crikey.com.au/2026/02/27/r...

Probably about 1000 people at Israeli President Herzog protest in Brisbane

09.02.2026 07:58 👍 5 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0

Albo’s actions and words show no insight or concern to the Australian Palestinians who have been brutalised by Israel (not to mention the numerous other countries Netenyahu has attacked). How is Herzog a symbol of social healing and connection for them?

09.02.2026 07:56 👍 5 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0

This is dangerous as it risks further conflation of being Jewish and being Israeli, and in turn risks more antisemitism

09.02.2026 07:56 👍 5 🔁 2 💬 1 📌 0

As a critic of Israel I make a big distinction between the two. But I understand many Jews have an affinity to Israel.

By inviting Herzog, Albo has directly and publicly linked Australian Jewry with Israel, and implicitly to the genocidial actions of Israel.

09.02.2026 07:56 👍 12 🔁 4 💬 1 📌 0

There is a good legal argument he should be arrested not invited.

The symbol of the President of Israel as a form of healing for Australia’s Jewish community muddies the distinction between between Australian Jewry and Israel.

09.02.2026 07:56 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

I fundamentally don’t know how anyone with a brain can think inviting the President of Israel to Australia will create social harmony and healing - looking at you Albo. His country is conducting what many experts have classified as a genocide and he has been cited for his language for encouraging it

We are yet to see any evidence presented on the virulent antisemitism on campus. No doubt there have been instances. But on the whole they are protests against Israel’s actions. That’s not antisemitism. Suggesting it is is deeply problematic and could be considered defamation if spoken of individual

NSW chief justice says Tony Abbott’s criticism of Harbour Bridge march judge ‘misconceived and ignorant’ Andrew Bell says it’s ‘regrettable’ that former PM suggested judge had made a ‘political judgment’ regarding pro-Palestine protest in August

www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

The level of ignorance (feigned or not) by Abbott is gobsmacking but expected. Knowledge of varied roles of judiciary, executive and legislature should be a requirement for any minister let alone a PM.

www.theguardian.com/australia-ne.... Cannot see how this is a rational response. If there was any terrorist attack, machine guns would cause further civilian casualties.

The idea that someone’s age can be accurately assessed by their face is so flawed it’s laughable. Especially during adolescence where people go through puberty at different times and rates.
Another silly AI fail like emotion detectors and gait identification.
