I had dinner again at Puzata Khata. It’s fast, cheap and good. Midway through the meal there was a power cut. But the Ukrainians have adapted and the generator fired up in less than a minute.

I am volunteering in Dnipro, Ukraine for 10 days. The air raid alerts have gone off repeatedly. But honestly, I have never felt more alive. Giving a helping hand to people who have had their territorial lands invaded is an honor. It’s my way of standing up to Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

I bumped into this street vendor last Friday in Dnipro [sitting to the right]. She is 70+. I wanted to support her work and buy some knitted socks for my wife. But as I speak no Ukrainian, I couldn't determine how much to pay. As a gesture of goodwill, I just donated 200 UAH for her efforts.
