This movie is evil. Unforgivably so. With such highlights as the Cat saying "Dirty ho!" The Devil himself, would fall flat on a mat, at the sheer scope of sin from this despicable Cat.

I do not like this movie man. Prayers up to all who saw this with the fam. Please listen if you please, to the tale of the creepy cat and his phallic hat wherever you stream.

βInternational Womenβs Dayβ ending up on the only 23 hour day of the year.
And part of that is yes, women or anyone whoβs faced any sort of discrimination, can obviously speak for themselves, but men, especially white men need to really fucking step up. And itβs not all of them, but the truth is a majority have not made noise and nowβs a good time to start.
And frankly, Pixar, or any other similar toxic workplace, wonβt get better until we actually for real start the reconcile the fact that historically women and underrepresented people have been treaty horribly by society and the workplace. If you feel gross discussing it, congrats you have a soul.
Because letβs be real, if it was just him, we wouldnβt be having these conversations nearly a decade later.
Like where was the noise during the whole Brave debacle and then the animation fan community did a βWe did it Patrick, we saved the cityβ by getting rid of Lasseter, and let no one actually take accountability to making the culture safe for women and non-cis people.
I mean, you and I have talked about this in private, but the general public, especially fans have let a lot of stuff slide because ironically, it makes them feel uncomfortable to talk about.
This is the part that needs to be talked about more, the Silicon Valley aspects of it, once you put patterns together (along with Pixar is one of the largest non-union studios, thanks Ed Catmull) that itβs no wonder decades of frat tech bro culture had led to expected results)
Like I just posted, fans and folks need to make a bigger deal about the toxic workplace nonsense that has festered in places like Pixar. No more stanning, fanboying, or dying on a hill for a studio, this is a huge problem that needs to be fixed.
Animation fans need to stop treating animation studios like they are mascots and game consoles (which was already a dumb thing), and focus on how places like Pixar have a really toxic workplace environment that does stomp on creativity. There are bigger issues at hand. Focus!
Like I knew, I mean you hear stuff and live through it so you know or have similar experiences. That panel still haunts me and I wish fans/the industry would actually hold people accountable and make safe environments to make art and not make weird ass videos about studios like itβs a competition.
I kinda partially regret not saying anything to her after the fact, but I wanted to keep it professional and not come off as parasocialβ¦plus her male colleagues were there so I donβt even think I wouldβve been comfortable being that open about it, but I wanted to say Iβm sorry so badly.
Honestly I was debating even bringing this up because itβs such a βnon-storyβ compared to women and non cis folks who LIVED IT, but I think it was 2022 and Brenda Chapman was on a panel with other vets and when she brought up Brave, I could see she was trying to hold back tears. I was livid.
Thank you and also I cannot say the irony is lost on me that International Womenβs Day also falls on daylight savings time this year, so that women donβt have a full 24 hours, so poetic lol
I need every single male artist that follows me to read this. It's not very long. You need to bear witness to this shit. You have to see it with your own eyes because you never will in your everyday life.
I'm serious, read it all please

I think theyβre all the same flavor. Itβs still hot but this one is more on the βmildβ side imo
Walt Disney's animation department in the 80s, you would have loved Twitter before it turned evil (Memo they sent when Disney changed "Basil of Baker Street" to "The Great Mouse Detective")

My dog did a handstand in my tub, and it was the most ridiculous looking things Iβve ever seen. I may not mentally recover.
Poison ivy from absolute batman she's so mutated and has elements of animal shapes and plant forms and insect forms she's beautiful and horrible she has a little owl. She looks enormously pleased with herself. I am horribly in love
