"Free pizza!"

Two words that work wonders in college.
Turns a club meeting about underwater hockey into a pep rally.

"Oh, silly college kids," we say, "That's how they get ya!"

Yeah. I think it's interesting that folks over 50 usually need glasses for screens, so I imagine AI generated content will be difficult to identify. The 50+ people in my life almost never carry their glasses around and are still scrolling

Happy Juneteenth!

I love working with black communities on privacy matters. They just get it.

To better protect people from surveillance, discrimination, and harm is really what it's all about folks.

Privacy is power!

Went to an AI panel for nonprofits. None of them talked about risk and responsible ai. I brought it up and more nonprofit leaders came to me after than the panel.

Nonprofits worry about risk far because of the vulnerable people they serve.

"We can't afford AI regulation when countries like China aren't regulating"

First of all - China IS regulating.
- The National Security Law of People's Republic of China regulates
- China has AI Policies that have evolved since 2016
- China has a National Privacy Policy as well (the US doesn't)

I think the tools are equally at fault as many of them claim to be private or secure, but aren't. So even if they are double checking the work and it's productive, there's a privacy mess to begin with despite many AI companies assuring otherwise.

How a new type of AI is helping police skirt facial recognition bans Adoption of the tech has civil liberties advocates alarmed, especially as the government vows to expand surveillance of protesters and students.

Tl;dr - they're using an AI model that can track people using attributes like body size, gender, hair color and style, clothing, and accessories.
