I have just released some patches for the NES game Deadly Towers to make the experience a little more palatable, One just speeds up transitions and stops repeated music tracks restarting, the other adds no knockback and iframes on room entry. Enjoy! #NES #DeadlyTowers

The intro music is pretty epic. I love sitting and taking it all in whenever I fire it up. I hope you do eventually get around to playing the second quest to completion, even if it can get pretty rude occasionally.

For sure! I've never swapped the battery in my childhood one shown in the photo, but I inherited another copy with a working save battery from a collection I bought a few years ago and usually play that one instead. Every video with Zelda footage showing saves was from that second cart I own, haha

I filled in a few things here and there on mine. I think that's where my love of video game maps was born. I spent so much time just pouring over the details and plotting a course around Hyrule.

Club Nintendo must've been such a good read back then. I didn't have any official pubs or mags back then, but I love looking through them now. Thanks for the link!

I don't have any specific memories of getting this game as a kid. I wish I remembered getting it for Christmas or for a birthday. My parents don't seem to remember either, unfortunately. I hope your map's still hanging in there too!
