Scrapping jury trials is an affront to the very foundations of our democracy.

From the moment this government was elected, it has come after the civil liberties we all hold dear.

This is yet another outrageous assault on our fundamental freedoms. I will be voting against it.

I'm old enough to not know what it signifies.

No, a jury hasn't, but a discussion between twelve people under oath, who have to reach a consensus, has worked for hundreds of years.
