Getting ready to publish a new Flash game on Newgrounds in 2026.

Apparently the Newgrounds API lets me unlock NG medals even when the game is not being hosted on NG. This allows silly things like requiring players to buy the full game on Steam to unlock medals. I'm not gonna do that, but it seems to be possible.

Found some unused sound effects and added 13 more cat sounds to the game.

Super proud of this splash screen.
It doesn't drop any frames while loading assets, and uses your cosmetic settings. Much better first impression.

My most viewed YouTube short is now a 6-second long outtake. The algorithm insults me.

Last minute but very impactful optimisation: fixed the white screen that appears at the start of Find Matt's Cats while it's loading assets. Now you get an animated splash screen with a cat.

The YouTube algorithm gives me psychic damage.

The site is called KEY mailer and I have no idea how to input Steam keys. The core feature is buried somewhere under walls of sales tactics.

The site KeyMailer used to be moderately helpful when I launched EBF5 - a few content creators got keys and it was very little effort to use. Now the site looks incredibly sussy and pay-to-win. Hard to find anything and most features are paywalled now.

I have received devastating news.

I complained about YouTube's search before, but something good I noticed is that if I search for Matt's Cats, and there's a video about many Steam demos, YouTube takes me straight to the correct timestamp for my game. I like this.

I am suffering by missing out.

Make shapes move without AI.

I think doing a 6-hour livestream gave my other videos a big boost in the algorithm. That's kinda cool, but I can't do this full time T_T
