Every single independent poll in this race says that this campaign — and only this campaign — is poised to end Senator Susan Collins’s career, after thirty long, long years.
I have not met a single Platner supporter who voted for Trump (though there are no doubt a few).
Maine voted for Harris, not Trump.

Another packed Graham Platner rally today. I’ve been told by BlueSky that all of these people must be Nazis.
Lots of us strongly supported Golden in 2018 and we worked hard to get him elected. Then we had the chance to observe his voting record. The disillusionment among Dems was so great that he knew by this year that he would not survive a primary and he thankfully decided not tp run again.
I don't know any Platner supporter who would not vote for Janet if necessary. We all understand what the goal is here.

Good to know you are from Maine - that is unusual in this discourse. I disagree with your understanding of the history but certainly you should vote for someone else in the primary since this is what you believe.
There is zero credible evidence that he found out. What is much more interesting to me is why this is so important to a lot of people who have nothing to do with Maine or with this election.

One of the reasons I feel communities of color in Maine haven't given up on Platner is that he shows up in a way that's rare for white folks. Much less a political type. When the ICE surge started here, he reached out directly to me and others to see how he could assist.

I'm voting for Platner, who's been a progressive activist for years & is endorsed by ME's oldest most respected activist organization as well as by all of Maine's unions (he's worked hard for nurses unions).

I’m happy to support platner over mills. There’s a chance he will become a centrist in office if he wins, but I think it’s likelier he stays in the progressive politics lane. Meanwhile, we know that mills will automatically be another useless corporate Schumer drone, if she wins. No thanks!
