I love just how excited they are lol and as a Sierra nerd, I feel that.

It truly has. I'm used to only seeing the joys of these (somewhat mutant but heartwarming) kids opening up Sierra game gifts around the holidays, but now I can get a glimpse of the joy all the time in my feed!

Ultima VII is an undisputed PC classic. Incredibly ambitious RPG that took its franchise in a darker direction and provided a surprisingly seamless and immersive open world to explore.
Its Super Nintendo port, however, was a bizarre beast.

Happy International Women's Day to the original International Woman
It really took grid-based dungeon crawling to another level!
I've always seen Bing as nothing more than hot garbage - just Microsoft's low effort offering of a Google search/maps. I'd never set Edge as default but it's quite a feat for them as it's very standards-compliant for modern web standards; compare that to Internet Explorer which was hideous for devs.

Happy #MARCHintosh! Iβve started uploading my Myst series to YouTube. I start with an introduction to HyperCard, share a little bit of Cyanβs first game The Manhole, then start playing the original version of Myst from 1993 (made in HyperCard for Macintosh). www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoBv...

Unfortunate cropping of imagery on EU portrait box. You don't get your kicks from the song "The Final Countdown" by Europe though? :D
Charmed and fascinated by Chess Wars, a DOS game released in 1996 that features live-action cutscenes of medieval melee when playing pieces engage one another in battle.
This is still one of my favourite pieces of Commodore 64 music. It's almost haunting (and yes, it might remind you of a certain movie theme that's just as haunting, but that one is far newer).
The Making of Black Dahlia has just started its premiere. Lots of cool trivia and a lot of shade thrown at Dennis Hopper. π Come watch with us: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjaL...
20 minutes away from the biggest SQH event of... well, ever, really? The Fair & Balanced Retrospective of BLACK DAHLIA β and the "Making of" feat. interview with cast and crew. Live in 20 minutes:
I remember working one summer to buy the Sound Blaster Pro. It came bundled with a CD disc caddy CD-ROM drive. I had to have it.
I watched the movie you put together. I enjoyed thatβit's well done, and what a story. Looking forward to the retrospective and documentary!
Tomorrow at 9 PM CET (12 PST / 3 PM EST) is finally Black Dahlia Night. A 30 min Fair & Balanced Retrospective followed by a 90 min "making of" documentary with interviews w/the cast and crew. It's been 6 months in the making. Come breathe a sigh of relief with me, please.
Man, the Last Ninja 2 soundtrack goes so fucking hard ππ΅

Oh yeah, I remember that calibration utility.
I quite enjoyed this Gravis joystick I had back in the day.
Congrats man, very cool!
Gravis! When Canada made cool shit.

Just like in the 80's how we had the trend of "pop will eat itself" with pop music/culture, but perhaps AI is light speed across almost everything we know. Implosion of AI, or something, forthcoming.
A screencap of the cover issue of our zine for this month, with its pink-palette PC-98 artwork of a 90s desktop PC on a busy looking desk with draws and pencils and a mouse and mousemat, converted to Mega Drive's resolution/palette.
A new issue of our digi-zine, Between the Scanlines, is now out!
This issue: features on Jerry Lawson, 2000AD games on microcomputer, and the early days of id!
