Took this photo of Jack-by-the-Hedge/Garlic Mustard while taking Miss Dolly out for a shuffle earlier. It was in the bottom of the hedge (funnily enough ๐) near the school. It's always wonderful to see edible and medicinal plants growing where people are often passing by.

I'm currently dealing with a viral infection and recovering from a knee injury sustained three weeks ago when I slipped and fell outside. But I saw this Burdock has decided that the Secret Garden is the place to grow and that is a very good thing ๐

We were talking about the times we saw the church spire when the water was low (Two villages were sacrificed to the building of the reservoirs) but I was reading last night that this had been demolished way before I was born. So what did we all see?!

We went on an adventure across the border into Derbyshire on Saturday which is my second spiritual home (after Wales) Firstly Castleton where we had lunch and I took a half decent photo of Mam Tor. Then up to the Reservoirs. It was much colder up there with snow on the highest parts.

Today is the Feast of St.Gobnait (also called Abigail) also known as Brighid of the South in Ireland. She fled to Co.Cork to escape a family feud and created a community of nuns. She's the Patron Saint of Bees and was a renowned healer, often using honey in her work.

Miss Dolly and I have had a rough couple of days. Me with migraine and she with a poorly paw. Here she is with her no.1 stuffy, Puppy. He has no ears, tail and only 3 legs but she loves him ๐ We saw a patch of snowdrops, which was heartening, on our walk earlier
