Thanks a lot, Jake! Means a lot. How are you finding it over here? I feel certain I'll commit fully to this place at some point. But for now, I keep forgetting to come over where the skies are bluer...

Oh nice! I love pre-Oscars and post-Oscars podcasts. Filmspotting is my go-to movie podcast, but I should really branch out. What do you listen to in that realm?
Hi Zach! Glad I can still find you in the wilds of social media. :) Are you still doing your great podcast? I haven't thought to look it up for a while.
Hi everyone. I've been scattershot at best on here. Still hanging on over at the other place because it's really hard (to nearly impossible) to let go of a bigger platform (which I kind of lucked into). But there are a lot of people I miss who are over here.
So here I am. Say hi if you remember me!
I condemn this military action.
I condemn it with
my whole chest.
That is all.
(My name is Jeremy and I wrote this using my own brain. It took me 15 minutes & I'm pretty proud of it. If I had used a non-sentient being to generate it, I would have no basis for being proud of it. Your mileage may vary, of course. But handmade posts = actual humanity.) π§¬
It's not art. πΌοΈ
It's artificial.
It's not "generative."
It's degenerative.
It's not innovative.
It's inane & derivative.
It's not harmless.
It's harming the planet. π
("It's not/it's" used to be a viable format.
Now it's how we identify noxious AI slop.)
Oh no, what did he do/say? I love Rewatchables.
But if that small business fails, so you move to the capital of North Dakota and open a small grocery store instead, I recommend naming it...
Bismarcket
If you ever move to the capital of Montana and set up a little shop where you weave handled picnic food containers, I recommend naming your business...

For what it's worth, this dad joke is 100% original. I crafted it a few years ago and I'm still pretty proud of it.
Your mileage may vary.
Q: What do you get when you put
explosives in a wintry sculpture
of NBA legend Michael Jordan?
A: A bomb in a Bull snowman.
I will never understand how God sending his "Son" to earth isn't a polytheistic belief. It's 2 distinct beings: One is the Father, sacrificing someone he loves; and one is the Son, enduring something awful for a noble reason.
My mind is simply unable to believe in the Trinity.
Feel like tossing a little support to an underpaid dad who writes on the side in the pre-dawn darkness about fatherhood & mental health & concert road trips and who would never dream of outsourcing even one (1) word of his writing to AI?

One thing people never like to talk about is that FrankenBerry is misnamed. Please, everyone. Get it right.
It's TheCreatureBerry.
I did see "Show" this time and I clicked on it... and it just revealed the Sabrina poster (which this time was hidden until I clicked "Show").
I AM SO CONFUSED.
I think Bluesky hid the content on your tweet. I can only see the Sabrina image from your original tweet.
I give up on trying to understand this. :)
I don't follow. This tweet was about the Sabrina remake, right? What does a moral compass or Paul Thomas have to do with it? I'm so lost.
(Also, hi Jeremy!)
Uhhhh why was this labeled as "Adult Content"?
I view myself as a skilled writer & an impeccable proofreader. I take pride in being an English major with a command of the written word. I even won a spelling bee once!
And so I gasped in horror today when I saw the word "teached" on my screen, which I had just typed as the past tense of "teach."
The National Board of Jeremy has
[too early & with way too little data]
named the Top 6 Films of 2025:
Frankenstein
Friendship
The Life of Chuck
One Battle After Another
Sinners
Train Dreams
~ Honorable Mention ~
Final Destination: Bloodlines
The Christmas music genre boasts some
of the most hauntingly beautiful, & also
some of the most nauseating, gratingly
soulless songs that were ever written.
For some odd reason, retail
stores play none of the former.
And almost nothing *but* the latter.
Hell is
other people
[who demonize
other people].

Ha!! I love this. π
Normalize asking off work on Wednesday to go see Frankenstein at the local art-house theater & take a hike by yourself, solely because you have vacation time to burn & Guillermo del Toro is amazing & hiking is good for the soul.
To me, parenting is β without a doubt β the single greatest joy on earth.
But if youβre an ardent fan of reading more than 2 pages of a book at a time, or if you greatly enjoy having adult conversations made up of uninterrupted sentences, I donβt necessarily recommend it.
I love that, Hopey! I feel like I'm almost-26 in an almost-46yo body. Here's to feeling young (& being okay with not actually being young).
Normalize:
~ embracing your current age,
~ looking forward to the next decade, &
~ forcefully rejecting the boring, stale belief that our best years are behind us & we should resent that we, just like every other being that ever lived, are ephemeral.
Enjoy your time here! π
If a thing is artificial,
then it is not intelligent.
Intelligence, by definition,
can not be artificial.
What is human
is what is enduring
is what is valuable
is what is real.
And we are,
above all,
human.
