Normalize asking off work on Wednesday to go see Frankenstein at the local art-house theater & take a hike by yourself, solely because you have vacation time to burn & Guillermo del Toro is amazing & hiking is good for the soul.

To me, parenting is — without a doubt — the single greatest joy on earth.

But if you’re an ardent fan of reading more than 2 pages of a book at a time, or if you greatly enjoy having adult conversations made up of uninterrupted sentences, I don’t necessarily recommend it.

I love that, Hopey! I feel like I'm almost-26 in an almost-46yo body. Here's to feeling young (& being okay with not actually being young).
