I am praying Glasgow Central can be saved. And I am also tired of Glasgow fires.
Updates on the Union St fire in Glasgow
The Union Corner was built in 1851 so is a huge loss of architecture as well as the livelihoods of numerous folk. When it's finally out we'll need answers as to why it wasn't controllable

It's amazing people will claim "Canada and the USA have the same culture" and then on something as fundamental as "do you trust your fellow citizens to be good" we are further apart than any other two countries

The BLM may allow logging on some of Oregon's most beautiful remaining old-growth forests. I've spent time in these beautiful woods; even climbed a 900 yr old massive Douglas Fir.
If you can take a moment to send a letter in opposition, it's appreciated

A dead Puffin lies on wet sand, its black and white feathers darkened and slick against the beach. The bird rests on its side, wings folded, with its distinctive orange bill clearly visible against the pale sand.
Heartbreaking: Right now, thousands of Puffins are washing up along our coasts and further afield.
It is devastating to see.
These birds are Red-listed in the UK and already under serious pressure.
Mass deaths like this, known as a βseabird wreckβ, can take years for colonies to recover from...
This Princeton University Art Museum photo shows a blackware ceramic figurine of two stylised dogs which look as if they are dancing. They are standing upright on their hind legs, facing each other, their front legs raised, with paws resting against each other. The dog on the left has its face turned towards the viewer, with snout slightly raised and seeming to smile. The dog on the right, rests its raised snout against the cheek of its partner. The figures are rounded and smooth with short legs, pointed snouts, pointed ears, and short curved tails. Their bodies are decorated with incised lines, which according to the museum, represent folds of skin, indicating that these canines are Mexican hairless dogs. Museum info: βComala, Late Formative Period, 200 BC β200 AD, Colima, West Mexico, Mexico, Mesoamerica, Dancing dogs. Blackware ceramic; 12.6 x 13.5 x 7.5 cm. Museum purchase (Object Number y1985-49)β

The Tumbler Ridge newspaper puts it better than I could
ProPublica received eight handwritten letters from children who have been held at the detention center that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was recently released from.
We'll let their words speak for themselves.
βI really believe these games have changed our country, and the way we see ourself as a nation.β
The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics forever changed our city & our nation, in SO MUCH MORE than sport. It was more than just an Olympics. If you donβt understand how & why, watch this.
It still gets me.

A Magpie perches on a wooden post, black and white plumage with an iridescent blue-green sheen on the wings. Text reads: βStill has all your things.β
So disappointed in our Canadian team for the unsportsmanlike behaviour. I will not be watching
