Maybe it just means we already got one so we'll be good for tonight?
I got into work today and there were NO orders in queue, which is extremely rare. Thankfully, the shelves all looked like a tornado had run through the store, so I basically got to spend thr first hour of my straightening some of them.
And I gotta say? Delightful way to start the day, actually.

Five Minute Sketches Day 11:
I just really love drawing Awngel.
(I also almost completely forgot to do a sketch today, whoops! This is gonna be a ROUGH week....)
Man, I've been having a real rough time of it at work today, and then it somehow managed to get worse.
I had to load an order into a Cybertruck ๐ญ๐ญ๐คฎ
I'm stating it now so that I can hold myself accountable, but I WILL finish a proper piece this weekend.
Do I have anything close to being done? Not really! But I will FIGURE IT OUT.

This writer you don't know will hold her congratulations for the NEXT rejection, because that means you've kept trying
Ironically, it actually IS a good amount of people, because it's Sunday, but I could just tell that, when she asked "do you guys need help?" She was probably NOT actually expecting me to say, "well, yeah, obviously, any help we can get it good"
Like why did you even ask?
Oh, boy, I sure do love it when a supervisor, you know, one of the people in charge of managing the staff that day, asks ME, who is NOT A SUPERVISOR OR IN CHARGE OF ANYTHING, how many people we have working in our department today ๐๐๐

Five Minute Sketches Day 9:
Still on my Tayahyla bullshit. Here is her and Estialog crossing the desert, as they're doing in the current chapter I'm writing for SSL.
I ADORE how she turned out in this sketch ๐
A picture of John Scalzi's book "Starter Villain," which features a portrait of a cat wearing a business suit on a grey background.
What a delightful read this was! Charming and cool, and Scalzi is so deft at handing realistic dialogue that is seriously funny without veering into cringe. Something about it felt effortless and effervescent, which was just really refreshing.
And, I mean, spy cats and a dolphin union. Instant win.
there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for

Five Minute Sketch Day 8:
I finally got back to Tayahyla's voice in SSL, so she was a clear choice for today, soaking in how good it feels to be back home underneath the desert sky.
