I am so sorry for your loss. Parkin's Twitter account was such a consolation to me after we lost our cat Misty nearly 8 years ago.

Thereβs a nest cam on an office block near Woking station (and three other cams to keep an eye on the young after they start exploring).

I want it too, it would be an acceptable consolation for my dream home Eltham Palace being unavailable.
A similar summary of Eltham Palace would be:

122 Portland Place, where Richard Hannay began his journey to Scotland in The 39 Steps.
Sorry to bombard you with so many suggestions, but Iβm enjoying this. I used to live on the Corbett estate in Catford, named after Archibald Cameron Corbett. A Scottish property developer, philanthropist and MP.
There are plenty of Scots who made their name in London with relevant places of interest - Alexander Fleming museum, Thomas Carlyleβs house, the Peter Pan statue.
How about the Scottish Martyrs memorial in Nunhead Cemetery?

It was very much a thing (I didn't take part though) when I was at primary school in Dundee (late 70s/early 80s), with a nasty sectarian element to it. Three schools close together, one catholic. Regular fights between any two schools, but mostly involving the catholic school.
Iβve just remembered how excited I was when we were on our way home from the Sussex coast and saw David picking up litter on the roadside.
Great news, congratulations!
Every time I see that image of the Pink Panther bars, I can taste them.
And even, if I remember correctly, Ulster Scots.
We visit my parents in Dundee every year around Christmas, so long winter shadows are a recurring theme in our photos.
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some zen to the feed.
A still from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Brad and Janet are smartly dressed after their friendsβ wedding, standing in front of a billboard saying βDenton The Home Of Happinessβ
Some good news for a change (sorry Gorton, Iβm sure youβre lovely too).
Mainly because it was good value, but also partly thanks to Calum.
A few years ago I was on a mobile phone data plan called β8 for 8β.

The Shuttleworths came out at a time when I was obsessively listening to late night Radio 4. I found it very comforting due to slightly difficult personal circumstances. Around the same time was The Legend of Los Trombastardos, which I would dearly love to hear again.
Sadly I don't remember much about it, we were passing through on our way to stay with friends in Settle. I think it was during our abortive attempt to cycle from John o' Groats to Land's End to see the eclipse in 1999 (we had to skip a lot of the cycling bit due to injury and take trains instead).
Iβve just remembered that I once got the train to Giggleswick, there was no raised platform, there was a set of wooden steps to get you down to ground level.
A few years ago, on a drive from Surrey up to Scotland to see my parents, I insisted that we take a detour to visit Blatherwycke.
A Lego mini figure of an ice hockey player in a Finland national team strip, raising his suns and stick in celebration.
I am not happy about USA beating Canada in the Olympic ice hockey final, but pleased that my favourite team Finland got bronze.
Iβm looking forward to hearing about Fitton.
The first time I hear a tern calling in spring.
The first springtime evening when I cycle home from work before it gets dark.
Go Canada!
Watching #olympics2026 USA v Slovakia. To paraphrase John Hegley
"Five whole goals to USA and Slovakia not one, but though their team was five-nil down their fans were up for fun and when their consolation came before the whistle blew they echoed USA's 'we want six' with a modest 'we want two'."
