Tories & Reform have abandoned British interests to become ideological satellites of radical US conservatism.

Photo of crocuses .
Crocuses.
Donald Trump’s support base is crumbling in the US.
Soon Nigel Farage will look around and realise that he’s borrowed his policies, hired James Orr and Alan Mendoza, and that his support base, MPs and councillors have followed him blindly in supporting Trump.
BOBBI BOUDMAN WINS NEW HAMPSHIRE HOUSE SPECIAL ELECTION, FLIPPING SEAT BLUE
Democrat Bobbi Boudman won the special election for New Hampshire State House Carroll County District 7, flipping a seat the GOP had previously won by 13 points. 👏 👏

Can anyone supply me with the Private Eye (or similar) round-up of what the great & the good said when Mandelson was appointed versus what they said when he was fired? Please.
Complaining about & blaming Keir Starmer for a long-scheduled, still uncertain, six month distant increase in fuel prices literally *hours* after calling for more war in the Middle East is quite the flex. These are not serious people.
We've already noticed how ludicrous the Telegraph - once a 'proper' newspaper - has become.
And now, with the middle east on fire, and the Strait of Hormuz throttled, it's happily promoting the wild promises of Farage and Jenrick as facts.
Hands up anyone who thinks oil prices will come down...?
Badneoch claims the Tories care about the cost of living, yet they are the ones who caused the cost of living crisis with Austerity & Welfare Cuts, rising taxes, stagnant wages, unemployment, high energy costs & public service cuts!

Farage accused of U turn as he says UK should stay out of Iran war
Farage, leading, as usual, by watching which way the crowd is moving and running to the front.
1 in 8 young people under the Tories where not in employment, education or Training, something Tory MP Gagan Mohindra seems to have forgotten about.
Labour are putting in place the youth guarantee which will help & support young people into work or training.

If you pay any attention to my witterings, you'll know that I'm not the biggest fan of the PM.
But at #PMQs he sounded like a statesman.
Kemi Badenoch (unbelievably) hit a new low. Obsessively asking the grown-up about fuel duty, during a war in the middle east.
She's a goner, surely?
No matter how serious the situation, you can always rely on @mrjohncrace.bsky.social to, simultaneously, provide razor-sharp insight and some good laughs!
This piece is no exception... 🤣👍

It worked with Brexit, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, austerity & most of Donald Trump but the right’s attempts to hoodwink the public into wanting war with Iran are failing miserably… open.spotify.com/episode/3XdO...
Reminder, Farage is not on your side, he wants to charge you to access the NHS.

When Brexit was slammed for being an act of pure prejudice, all the Brexiters howled about ‘sovereignty’ and ‘taking back control’.
Now, the very same people howl that we should just obey Trump and put our country in the firing line.
They lied about everything. All of it. Every single part.
Turns out all the Brexiters shilling for Trump really hate British sovereignty.

Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage want Britain to blindly follow Trump into this illegal war, even though the President has no plan for what comes next.
There is nothing patriotic about outsourcing Britain’s foreign policy to Donald Trump.
So, Johnson, Farage, Badenoch, the Telegraph… howl about the UK being “an irrelevance on the world stage”.
Remind me again who decided to isolate us with a strategically and economically idiotic Brexit, relying on a trade deal with the US to save us from exactly the kind of weakness they now bemoan.
"Labour's Chagos Islands surrender". Also known as 'the agreement negotiated by a Conservative government'.
Still, I suppose we all stopped expecting truth from the vile Daily Mail long ago.
I wonder how many Mail readers could even point to the islands in an atlas? 🤔🤣

Absolutely insupportable. Labour have a massive majority. It’s a hugely popular issue. To fail to act would be a dereliction of historic proportions, and utterly inexplicable.
Watercolour drawing of Green Street, Cambridge with the figure of a young woman in a green dress striding along and a few lightly-sketched bicycles.
I have produced quite a few paintings and drawings of Green Street in Cambridge over the years. Here's a watercolour and ink sketch showing the western end as it goes into Trinity Street. Not sure if I still have this one.

My painting THUNDERHEAD
This is almost exactly what I said would happen on yesterday’s show. The conflicting & contradictory reasons given for the war, coupled with client journalists & pusillanimous politicians on both sides of the Atlantic, will enable him to claim ‘success’ when nothing remotely successful has happened.
Badenoch has announced today the Tories will restore the two child benefit cap.

It goes both ways too.
Republicans/Trump: "WE'VE HAD ENOUGH OF EUROPE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF US! TARIFFS! THREATS! NAME CALLING! WE'RE GONNA MAKE YOU PAY US!"
Also: "Can we pwetty pwetty pwease drag you into a widdle unilateral aggression? 🥺"
So far the war in Iran has cost an estimated $5.5 billion.
That's roughly $1 billion per day.
$41,666,667 per hour.
$11,574 per second.
People do not want this.
They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.
