Random and idk how many people this applies to on here, but I haven't seen any posts about it.
Amazon are changing their policy which means anyone who gifts you something on a wishlist will possibly be able to see your full address.

I've seen people suggest that sometimes those in positions of power intentionally misspell names as a way of asserting that? Like "oh you're not important why do I need to know your name?".
Not saying this is the case with your professor, but something to be aware of I guess...
I have always used FirstNameMiddleName@Email.com as my professional email with my last name in my signature and have people misspell at least one of the names about 70% of the time...
I think the average member of society is just allergic to reading at this point
starting a new job recently (front facing customer service) I considered using a different name on my badge for privacy, but realized very quickly being called the "wrong name" constantly would drive me crazy. jokes on me I guess since people call us literally whatever they feel like anyway 💀
