The Titans were due for a refresh - particularly with a new stadium opening. Going retro was the lazy route. What an opportunity to reimagine the Titans brand with even more local history to lean into vs the team that moved.
This move is a direct reflection of the lack of vision from ownership.

You either have a throwback or you dont. Now Tennessee’s throwbacks will be their Music City Miracle unis… and the OG Oilers unis are rendered useless - which is a shame.

I have thoughts:
First and foremost this is the problem with making throwbacks “modern”.

Because Jax is doing better and the stadium investment will need to have a payoff on the other side of construction. It sounds like they’ll still be interested in London if the NFL is picking up the bill like they do in other markets. Basically they’ll be done “voluntarily” making the trip.
