If you're wondering why there's so many anti-trans articles written by cis people while so few positive ones written by actual trans people it's because they're intentionally being silenced

i cannot believe we are into year 2 of the groyper regime, the camps are open and the state is revoking id's, and we are still getting "oppressed minorities are kinda rude on the internet :/" hand-wringing

yeah we're a little tense right now, believe it or not. fucking shut the fuck up about it

When you have a problem with a trans woman on Bluesky so suddenly you whip out the they/them pronouns and rely heavily on the "this person" to describe them ... almost like a lot of the antagonism I deal with on here has a backbone of transmisogyny 🤔

if “the sign isn’t helping” is enough to make you flinch you are truly not ready for what must be done for humanity to make it through this

Went back and forth on posting this, but the culmination of me talking to my work about the vast difference in how I’m treated by people at my job has resulted in me being pushed out. In case anyone’s wondering why I’m pissed off about people pretending transsexuals have some magic authority.

This is a thing that is within their control and they absolutely should make their negotiating position

For anyone outside of Minnesota who has been wondering why progressives & leftists absolutely despise Jacob Frey, here is a very clear cut example.

judges ruled today that blocking our access to medicine doesnt violate equal protection. not even slightly coincidentally, the blue check liberals here decided to make an example of a trans woman who was tired of empty slogans standing in for real support. these are the walls we're crushed between

we told everyone this but some people named "jesse singal" and other idiots were like "we're going to pretend to be shocked when it happens later thanks" i hope they eat glass and live

remember when i posted about seeing an "in this house" sign for the first time in my life in seattle last year and expressed mild surprise that the signs were real and someone got furiously mad at me about that because she earnestly believed that was the height of allyship? anyway, scratch a liberal

if transitioning didn’t change your sex they wouldn’t be trying to ban it

the more actual harm caused by a petroleum supply shock, the funnier it will be that some of trump's first actions was making it significantly more expensive to buy solar and EVs. Im sorry but its so, so, so funny

This reasoning could easily be extended to LGBQ people as well. They could say it's not irrational for a state to ensure an appreciation for one's sex by promoting heterosexual relationships rather than gay relationships.

What's so insidious about this particular line is that it sets a framework for courts to bless any number of coercive measures by state and federal governments to get people to not transition. It establishes coercing people not to transition as a legitimate government interest.

Labour has been hoping that it can abandon left wing and progressive politics, and that the trade unions they were founded by – and who pay their bills – would just put up with it. Looks like that is no longer the case.

DHS Seeks Access to Massive Employment, Salary and Family Database Legally Restricted to Use in Child Support Cases The Trump administration’s immigration enforcers are requesting unfettered access to the government’s “most powerful people-finder system,” which contains sensitive information on children and victims...

The federal government has a massive database with sensitive info for every kid involved in a state child support case -- and the current addresses of many single moms who survived domestic abuse.

So of course, Trump's DHS wants full access to it.

its wild how much anti-trans “science journalists” utterly despise the very scientists theyre supposed to be covering and the media expects us all to pretend their work isnt eaten through with rank prejudice and completely disqualifying levels of bias

Sorry to act out but I have zero patience for people who think it's okay to question the right to existence of trans people or anyone else simply based on their identities.

When I see people doing it or encouraging it I want them to feel what it's like to be under that gun as rapidly as possible.

Like the constant Trolley Problem chatter feels linked to the over-eagerness of the Yglesiases and Newsoms of the world to find vulnerable people to sacrifice for the greater good. Like it's a way to make HURTING people somehow seem VIRTUOUS.

No thanks!

Three panel comic. Panel 1: a giant squid wearing a yellow Bart t-shirt and some terrible hypebeast shorts is looking in the mirror. It says, “need groceries… but all my clothes are in the laundry.” Panel 2: the squid, now also wearing hot pink crocs, exits its apartment and says, “eh. I won’t see anyone.” Panel 3: two fisherman are pulling the squid to the surface of the water and pointing at it. An overlayed news caption reads: RARE SQUID SIGHTED - the fit was crazy

I really don't think people understand the degree of organization that is happening in so many regular neighborhoods in America.
