Yeeesss! I've been dropping some subtle and not so subtle hints about Lalli's fatherhood, but I'd like to hold a story corner to tell it all. There are plenty of layers to it, and his and Sunflare's meeting did shape his future quite drastically.
His buns aren't half bad! Though they weren't missed by all as Sunflare did have a taste test, eventually. And while there shouldn't have been any yeast, they still put a bun in the oven.

Even a rumoured dwarven deserter found peace in Andreus’ monastery. Brother Mattheus used to be sour and narrowminded. Though his temper mellowed, a bit, the scowl never left his beardless face. It's unknown what ill-fate caused him to be polished like a marble but it's better not to mention it. /3
One of the survivors was Andreus, a half blind kitchenhand. Baking was his passion, and his warm puns and kind heart lifted the morale. He founded a monastery with the other survivors, and later invented its famous berry wine, Andree. He outlived his fellows and welcomed strangers with open arms. /2
Regional map of "Munkkilaakso" (lit. Monkvalley) depicting the lake, main mountain rivers, roads and bridges, orchards and fields. The subtle change in greens imply the change in vegetation from the rich green of the ancient forests to the murky shade of peatland. Written in Dethek runic script on the top left corner is "Munkkilaakso". The monastery is located above the top most crossroads. The old barracks are next to the canal.
The map of the old barracks that houses most of the valley's inhabitants. The squareish shaped building in the middle was a mineshaft elevator. The entrance was later boarded shut by Father Andreus and the building now functions as a watchtower and a tavern/town hall. The village grew in size during Father Lalli's time.
Though first, the hidden mountain valley was originally found by dwarves over 500 years prior. Their mining operations came to an abrupt halt when a river dam failed, flooding the mines and workshops. The few survivors were traumatised, devoting themselves to spiritualism and berry wine. /1
