A blue boy for a blue weekend. He showed up chirping in the tree and eventually I got him to come over to me on the porch to sit in the sun for a while and cheer me up. Such a sweetheart. 💙🪶

The sun glowing orange and bright through clouds and haze on a snowy field. It looks vaguely like the Eye of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings.
Some mornings the clouds & snow blowing around diffuse the Sun's light in a way that always makes me think of the Eye of Sauron. So I call these mornings, "Sauron Mornings"

He's our sleepy boy
Fun fact before taking these: He looks very alert in those shots, but in reality it took a while for him to wake up and for most the morning he was actually a very sleepy boy.
