Ant Middleton @antmiddleton Follow This is a genuine concern of Brits 'directly' catch up in the Iranian conflict. They are concerned to come back just in case they go over their 90 days 'welcome' to then get taxed to max. Native Brits that have probably paid hundreds of thousands if not millions (like myself) into the British system and they're willing to jeopardise their own personal safety and that of the families to avoid their motherland to not get absolutely robbed and pillaged by the UK government. All whilst we hand out freebies at the expenses of the UK government (that many have paid into) to illegal criminals invading our borders. This is how anti-British the current @UKLabour is! They've got to go. Simple! 9:15 12 Mar 26
"People who left Britain to avoid tax are putting their families in danger in Dubai rather than taking them to a place of safety and risking paying tax. This is because Labour is anti-British."

Idea: mandatory retirement age for Congress equivalent to the average U.S. life expectancy (79) so they actually care about improving it.
Today is the LAST DAY to effectively use our resources against the onslaught of AIPAC ads on air, and we need all the help we can get!
Picked up Heinz low fat, low salt, low sugar, low flavour baked beans by mistake. Worse than that I bought a pack of 8.

βToday, March 11th is the 178th anniversary of Canadian democracy. 178 years of unbroken, uninterrupted parliamentary democracy. Which makes Canada the oldest continuous democratic federation in the world.β

Happy Canadian democracy day peeps.

A tax barrister sued me personally for Β£8m for libel after we linked him to a tax avoidance scheme.
Today the High Court struck out the claim, granted summary judgment, and ruled it was a SLAPP. The judgment is highly critical.
We've won the UK's first ever SLAPP suit - acting for @danneidle.bsky.social - and made some really important law protecting the right to call out barristers whose misconduct facilitates aggressive tax avoidance.

Happy birthday to Betty Boo. Here's a reminder of the time she rapped with Public Enemy in the McDonalds at Shepherd's Bush back in 1987 (look out for the unimpressed manager!)
labour are as far right as the bnp were 15 years ago and ppl like @stellacreasy.bsky.social, @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social, and @labourlewis.bsky.social think it can be saved by writing a column or a couple of letters.
the bnp deal was actually better. think about that.

Politico headline from Feb. 25: "White House believes "politics are a lot better" if Israel strikes Iran first.
Everyone's acting like Rubio just came up with that fatuous rationale for the war yesterday. It was reported a week ago, before the war started:

Every time Nigel Farage's parties have lost an election he has blamed it on "cheating" by ethnic minorities and every time he receives huge amounts of media attention for doing so.
The only problem? No evidence of cheating is ever found

I have a piece out in @theguardian.com today on how the internet is becoming a fully surveilled digital panopticon and why we need to fight back with everything we have
Farage opposes better workers rights, Braverman wants to dismantle workplace equality, Reform want a lower minimum wage, and your guy writes this? Farage has 9 jobs, never bothers with constituents, is rich enough to argue about whether he banks at Coutts, and he represents the working class? π€‘

Excerpt from The Guardian story, featuring midterm candidates looking to change the Democratic party. Copy on excerpt reads: THE GUARDIAN: US NEWS HEADLINE: "'Are you willing to fight back?: Democrats ready to take on party's old guard ahead of midterms" Photo of Kat showcased holding a stack of yard signs. Copy below reads: "Another test case is Illinois' deep blue 9th District, where Kat Abughazaleh, 26, a progressive Palestinian American, is taking on a Democratic establishment she accuses of complacency and cowardice."
Excerpt from The Guardian story, featuring midterm candidates looking to change the Democratic party. Copy on excerpt reads: "Abughazaleh believes that Democrats have long failed to meet the moment of taking on the far right. For her and many progressive challengers across the country, countering the Trump administration is inextricably linked to combating the influence of groups such as Aipac and challenging the corporate status quo. Abughazaleh said: "I even see it in my own campaign where there are local leaders and elected officials that call me before endorsing one of my opponents, apologetically saying, I love what you're doing but I'm feeling a lot of pressure to endorse this way or the other. They feel that pressure in the first place instead of being able to stick to their values and it's a shame that we have a party that makes people feel like that." "I don't know how many times we have to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again of insisting that we have to be more moderate, that we have to move to the right," Abughazaleh added, arguing that policies ensuring affordable housing, groceries and healthcare should represent the political centre."
You donβt beat the far right with moderation. You have to confront it.
Career politicians are unequipped to handle this moment. Itβs time for them to step aside.
