This pic doesn’t do tonight’s sunset justice.

View off the front porch this evening.
Sunset against the wall.
The latest issue of The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society is really great. It’s a special issue that examines abolition in the Bluegrass State. It’s up on JSTOR and Project Muse.
Great view on my edge of town.
I’ve gotten to do some fun history-nerd things in this three-decade-long career, but having dinner at the National Archives just mere feet away from THE Declaration of Independence, THE Constitution, and THE Bill of Rights, is really an amazing highlight. Surreal. For an America250 conference.
Saw Black Sabbath in Indianapolis about six or seven years ago. Incredible show. Ozzy really held his own. Only one song (“After Forever”) was a bit off but it was all still amazing. Rival Sons opened and were also great. Good memories.
My book “Murder on the Ohio Belle” is only $2.99 on the Kindle today!
