The point of my 'yes and' post was less unnecessary vehicles instead of just switching to another unnecessary vehicle.

Also EVs are MUCH heavier than gas cars of the same "kind" (sedan, suv, etc) which destroys roads faster, which leads to more microplastics in the water and more resources needed for road upkeep (& more gas consumption in repairs).

Better and accessible transit/infrastructure is key for survival
