I couldn’t resist either. It’s well constructed too. Raglan sleeves and short rows. Every time I wear it someone comments on how cool it is.

Once I saw it I couldn’t resist. And the raglan sleeves worked perfectly.

My first brioche in the round project. I wanted to learn brioche & decided a headband would be a good 1st project. As a test, I made a dog “collar”. I’m going to give it to my friend for her dog then make a matching headband for her. We do silly dog things. Rocky is the model & she’s not pleased 😂

I love them. I knit them a while ago. Forgot about them. In fact I can’t remember who I gave them to 😂 Daughter-in-law probably. I didn’t use the beads on the heels because I thought the beads might be annoying. And … heels. No owls either.

They’re wonderful! Here are three of the ones I made years ago.

What a fall! As a Canadian I never liked the American bragging (exceptionalism, claim to be the freest, etc.) which ignored a lot of issues. However, despite the lack of humility and other warts it was a truly great country.

It will take a long time to regain the trust & respect of the world.

Hated them. Overpriced garbage.

Swivels snagged: replaced w/ red (cheap sub & no swivel). One metal bit came off a tip: they replaced set w/ 1 bent & claimed it was the post (no). Now the wood parts of the tips are scratching. “Extras” were cheap except scissors.

Never Chiaogoo again!

Oh he’s so cute! Well, he looks a lot like Scout, who recently turned 5 (Rocky is 13 in May).

Scout’s ears were getting pretty matted so I had to trim them. My husband loves them long so he has the job of combing them, and her tail, every day. So far so good.

I love them! I already posted 8 photos and missed the ESCs. I posted the ES Goose I made though.

Oh my! They are so cute. My Grrls hate clothes.

I can’t use short circulars. I heard, but haven’t tried, just using two regular circular needles. I’m trying to learn brioche on a headband pattern and it’s just a little too short for the 14” circular needles. Fortunately, I have two sets 😊

I’m really comfortable with DPNs but with all the YOs…

Rocky doesn’t like roll over either. I always wonder if these are breed things or their own “preferences”.

Then I would either put it aside until you’re comfortable with the fingering weight and small needles or plunge yourself in. If you take the plunge you might want to have something else easy peasy to knit if you get overwhelmed or need a break.

Rainbow? 🌈 Heart be still ❤️ I love rainbow anything.

This morning instead of learning brioche I was leafing & reading Patty Lyon’s book Knitting Bag of Tricks (highly recommend for new & old knitters). She would say “did you wash the swatch?” If you didn’t you should. And make sure it’s off the needles. Read about swatches, which I wasn’t doing right.

I, with a lot of experience, just finished a DK weight, queen size, lace stitch blanket. Pattern was full of errors. It was a nightmare!

Could you knit it with DK or worsted on larger needles? It would be bigger but you might manage better. If you do get some advice on how much yarn to get.

Beautiful! Two will seem easy from now on. I did this one that has four colours on some rounds. I like to think of that when the going gets tough. I hadn’t knitted stranded for 20 years when I got the crazy idea to knit this one. It was worth it.
