i’m so glad there weren’t any college football based podcasts that shredded their credibility and listener base to have this guy on.

OH WAIT…

My favorite comment on this post are the folks patting themselves on the back for not watching the NFL before this….

Yet, the TV ratings keep going up.

What NFL's rebooted Accelerator Program means for rising coaches and execs as it expands outside minority pool White men will be included in the seventh iteration of the program, which took a year off

So the NFL plans on increasing diversity by allowing more white guys in their accelerator programs.

Makes sense.

NBA fans and media have become the new age baseball fans.

They see the game one way, they dont like anything and they wax poetically about days gone by.

And I truly wonder why they keep watching something that clearly makes them miserable.

Also, for all the β€œBam should’ve stopped at 81” rigamarole , you know who would’ve told him to break the record if he were still here?

Kobe.

Feeding the content machine has made it so that in order to properly enjoy anything, you probably have to do it offline.

When retail books price bets that have a 5% chance of hitting as if they have a 10% of hitting, they're ensuring they make a profit even if you're the absolute smartest parlay player on planet earth. It is literally rigged. Please tell everyone you know who plays parlays that it is literally rigged.

10.03.2026 16:34 πŸ‘ 52 πŸ” 10 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 1

If you didn't already know, retail books deliberately underprice parlays because 99% of people won't check the math.

You see $10 to win $100 and think it sounds good. But if you add up the individual components, you'll see it *should* pay $150.

10.03.2026 16:32 πŸ‘ 64 πŸ” 10 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 1

I tried to explain to my cousins who are addicted to parlays why the math ensures that they cannot win over time even if they are the best parlay players in the entire world. They acknowledged I was correct and then put $100 on a random array of football games anyway. This is also how drugs work.

I mean you are right, the fact the same place that hires Stephen A Smith was one of the entities that got squeamish about Magic City night is hilarious on its own

10.03.2026 00:47 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I REALLY, REALLY need people to read the official statement again.

Because the league spells out who and why they canceled Magic City night.

It wasn’t about morals, it was because the money said so.

10.03.2026 00:17 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Just a reminder that these leagues have zero incentive to punish domestic abusers until the legal system actually holds them to account

i don’t mind jokes when they’re actually funny.

But it’s been a slightly remixed β€œwhataboutism” joke that really aint all that original.

09.03.2026 21:53 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 1

Y’all are blaming the league when they’re basically spelling it out for you that the TV Partners wanted zero part of this.

09.03.2026 21:50 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

β€œWe heard from an array of stakeholders” tells me everything I need to know.

The money said this can’t happen.

Lou Holtz was fired as head coach at Arkansas because he kept taping campaign ads for Jesse Helms.

He was too racist for Arkansas. In 1983.
