(And how crazy is English that the same word is pronounced differently according to its grammatical role?!)

Calling my grammar nerds: I saw these instructions on a laundry box:

“For laundry use only. Use with detergent.”

I know the second “use” is a verb. Would the first “use” be a verb too? A noun? A gerund? Object of a preposition?

No wonder I can’t get the laundry done.
