yeah ppl REALLY didnt like the 1st season of nocturne prior the 2nd's release. But i agree while not perfect its still fairly good.

it was mostly cuz of the 1st season coming out without the context of the 2nd, with the latter "fixing" the issues of the prior. and some felt it was a downgrade from the prior series cuz of how nocturne's 1st seasons handled things when it was setting up for the 2nd season.

I think I just peeped the horror during the kirby stream. Chat started to tell me the lore and I could feel my maddness meter just gradually go up

Yeah technically Vermillion wouldn't be a Chinese Phoenix, but it is close to the Western Phoenix cuz it shares the affinity to fire. As the Vermillion Bird is associated with said Fire in accordance to the Chinese Five Elements.
