I supposed we've technically been finalists three times, but the last time was for @riverssolomon.bsky.social's adaptaion of The Deep. However that was 100% their work and we were only included because the publisher wanted Daveed's name somewhere on the cover of the novella.

We plan to release a free "Hugo Voter" special edition on Bandcamp within the next few days, so I will post that here when it's available. Once again, we'd love your consideration for this award

Unlike our previously nominated works (Splendor & Misery, and The Deep) DCS might not seem like a single continuous story, but there is an overarching narrative through-line hidden within it (co-written with @amalelmohtar.com). It's an easter egg that I don't think anyone has found yet
