I read the headline & assumed she was fronting a campaign to advertise smear tests to younger women! No - some nonsense about a film disagreement.

I have just stopped to admire a beautiful variegated grey baby blanket knitted by the baby’s gran. It was so cosy & restful.
A wonderful exhibition of Ancient Egyptian craftsmanship at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. From the making of sarcophagi, jewellery to glassmaking, woodwork to weaving, painting & pottery. Definitely worth a visit. (And the building itself is beautiful.)

Yes! One of the many reasons we stopped watching BBC Breakfast a year ago.
I have read a few of her books having come across her via the Vera Brittain biographies. A sadly short but interesting life.
Seriously, take 20 mins out of your day to do something fun & get you moving. You will perform better & feel better & that’s what we need right now.
I’m absolutely with you on daffodils for £1. Such an uplifting mini expense bringing so much joy!
The very definition of optimism -hanging washing out on the line today! Watching those clouds closely though!
Sunny but cold walk through the park. Good to see kids football training in full swing. Lots of laughing & shouting! Bonus - stopped to watch a Red Kite lazily circling above us. So beautiful.

She will always be FLOTUS Abigail Bartlet to me.
If you are so confident that the new regs will prevent non USA citizens voting, why does ICE need to be deployed at polling stations?
I frequently see school trips in London & I am always full of admiration for the teachers, assistants & parent helpers. And mostly your children do you credit.
He has a point though. I feel DNA from “Reform class” should definitely be warned against!
Seriously, my body my choice.
My local YMCA gym has a list of “does & don’ts” pre & post birth. Some of the Personal Trainers are also happy to take on pregnant clients. Might be worth checking with them.
They had a communications director? Hard to tell.
I recently reread “The Spy Who Came In From The Cold” knowing I was going to see the drama at Soho Place Theatre. I really enjoyed the internal monologue by Leamus but was a bit concerned by the “water boarding”! Would definitely recommend the production although it is closing soon.
At the Royal Festival Hall I came across this patchwork display showing the century 1851-1950, each patch representing an event or achievement in that year. Just post-WW2 the fabrics were recycled & made by 80 women in 2 months! Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great read but not sure about the suitability for Valentine’s Day! Lots of very dark takes.
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.
Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
We have a couple of bluetits in our bird box. I feel it is a bit early for nesting but maybe not?
Maybe. But it makes being miserable more comfortable.
I do love a good crime thriller & this one is just brilliant! Didn’t see the twist at the end. Genuinely a book I couldn’t put down.

Daffodils spotted on my walk this afternoon. It was a bit damp but this made me smile.
There is a tree I pass almost every day and around this time of year my spirit is lifted by the snowdrops & early crocus that grow under it & always make me feel Spring is just around the corner. Today was that day!
Whisky to taste surely! I made this for 6 people & significantly reduced the whisky as 2 had to drive & 1 had a race the following day. Sometimes it’s not all about the maths!
Having a baking morning using ingredients from the local Community Fridge. The bread is now bread pudding & in the freezer. The over ripe bananas are now 2 loaves of banana bread.

Think he did! Read all about it in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John.
Visited a beautiful exhibition of contemporary textile art Denbies Vineyard today. Such stunning work by local craftswomen!
Excellent! One minor quibble - a little more lighting would have helped see what was going on.
Sad to say it is not unique to Liverpool. I will spend tonight helping in a night shelter for men & women who have links to my area but no housing available. And this only runs for 10 weeks thro’ winter. The charity works hard to help them into accommodation but it is difficult.
