A five-image grid with two squares on top and three on the bottom, all featuring cropped art of dogs from the We've Always Been Here zine. All are rendered in very different styles, two are traditional art while three are digital, and they are in a wide variety of poses.

Throughout our zine's Kickstarter, we'll be sharing collections of queer and cultural identities (and some other themes) featured in the book!

But, to start, let's show off some of the dogs of the zine! Aren't they all so cute? 🐢

An open spread of the front and back covers of the book. On the right side is the front cover, where two masculine characters lean against each other, with a yellow burst of light highlighting their hands that hold each other. The title reads, "We've Always Been Here." On the back cover, another couple dances in front of a barn where a man plays the fiddle. The Metis flag hangs on the top of the barn. A text box on the back with gold decoration reads: "We’ve Always Been Here is a collaborative art book with over 50 artists illustrating scenes of queer joy throughout history, all across the world. This is a mock-up of the full cover design (illustrated by Nightgalen) and this back text is subject to change.
Our Kickstarter launches March 3!

A colorful digital illustration of two Filipino characters standing in front of a mirror as they try on clothes, with different-gendered versions of themselves staring back as their reflections. Another character watches them with a soft smile. At the top a banner reads, "We've Always Been Here, a queer historical zine." A banner across the bottom says "2 weeks until launch!"

A banner of two masculine characters leaning up against a birch tree. The one on the left is an Indigenous man wearing a vest covered in beadwork, and the one on the right has paler skin and orange hair, wearing a blue shirt with tassels on the chest. Both have soft expressions as they hold hands. Gold decorations frame the corners of the image, and the text "We've Always Been Here" takes over the right side in flowy, mock-gold text. A small note in the corner also reads, "Work in Progress Image."

Help Improve
A New Adult Autism
Screening Tool
Researchers want to improve a new adult autism screening tool, the Reuben-Ackland Autism Inventory (RAAI). We want to interview autistic adults about how we can improve the RAAI. For example, we want to know if questions should be shorter or use different words.
You can participate if:
β€’ You are an adult (18+)
β€’ You are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder
β€’ You speak English
β€’ You can consent to participate in research without a legal guardian
What does the study involve?
β€’ A 1-to-2-hour Zoom interview
β€’ You can speak out loud or type into the chat
β€’ You will be shown questions from the RAAI and asked how we can make them better
You can participate in this study alone, or you can participate with a parent or another adult who knows you well. We want to hear from many types of autistic adults, including autistic adults with intellectual disability or difficulty talking.
Participants will be given a $50 Tango gift card as thanks.

Hello everyone. I am very sorry to ask, but my mother just tried to end herself. Apparently there are no toxicologists in my city, we have been to three ERs already. I am begging, please, for car fare to try to get her to a bigger hospital. Thank you so much

A detailed watercolor full body painting of the angel Kokabiel. The background is a painted nebula with some glowing and shooting stars.

The injured angel has brown skin and hair, with damaged lavender wings and chest bandages. They rest together in the clouds, stained purple and yellow from a sunlight glow behind them.

An intricate watercolor painting of a reclining masculine figure with dark wings in barely any clothing, except stockings, underwear, and a translucently painted silky pink shawl. He has medium brown skin, curly brown hair, and is crushing a rose onto his chest with a lifted and gloved hand. Giant pink orchids, painted with lovely realism, surround him. Some pink fabric falls to the right side, and detailed hand painted blue lace fills the background.

A half body portrait painting in watercolor of Nzuzi and Nsimba, two male Congolese twins, posed together at a club. The soft purple lighting highlights their dark skin and timid smiles. Nzuzi is in the front making a peace sign, in a semi-see-through white shirt and pearl necklace, with bright blue lipstick, gold eyeshadow, and gold hair jewelry in his long dreadlocks. Nismba is behind him with a hand on Nzuzi’s shoulder, bare chested with purple and blue paint on him. He has short-ish twists with an ombre dye of turquoise, a glow stick around his neck, and some burn scars around his upper face, including his eyes, which are a pale blue and have a unique shape from the scarring.
