As far as CC goes, you see all types of people (like CC folks waving Israeli flags). For example, we have our platform, but very few CC people seem to dig us compared to the larger, more mainstream (read: pro-Democratic party) platforms.
Don't let them gaslight you. Just came across a CC person who has a defeatist attitude. That's probably worse. To be CC and to accept defeat in the face of anti-science deniers are incompatible perspectives.
They love to romanticize people who resist the grain and push back, but the reality is that there's nothing romantic about it. It's tiresome and lonely, but we also understand that we're doing something necessary and that is bigger than us.
