this is going to sound crass but my main opinion on the recent vile, bigoted, deliberately anti-medical supreme court decision on trans care is that in the immediate term blue states have to rapidly build more housing and help people get here
Bodily autonomy is a human right.
Transness isn't a disease that needs to be cured. We're a normal part of the spectrum that is the human condition. And we deserve to have the final say over our own bodies - not just because of the harm if we don't, but because they belong to us and not the state.

For a poetic view on this, I read Eric Vuillard’s L’Ordre de Jour, Order of the Day. I highly recommend this short work. Living in the US right now, it was an overwhelmingly emotional read.
