Sitting down to draft this month's newsletter a day early. Still feeling the effects of springing forward, and even though the calendar doesn't say so, it's spring for real. Evidence? These crocuses. Newsletter today, back to the novel revision tomorrow. #BookSky
A photo I snapped in March 2019. Haven't seen a bird like this since, and the crabapple tree he sits in died in the drought. How things change. Happy for the memory. And happy, too, for filling a major plot hole. Almost finished with this fiddly process. #BookSky
A rising moon, March 7, 2023. Working to fill a plot hole, and I think (hope) it's going well. Lots of little scene changes, resulting in a list of pages and yellow highlights since I hate being unable to find the changes I made. #BookSky
Sunset from the end of February. It's been raining ever since, which is good since we need rain. But last night, our 14-year-old dishwasher about set the house on fire. Maybe hyperbole, but it sure smelled like something was burning. Meanwhile, I'm working on a plot hole. Sigh. #BookSky
"The Innocent Children" by Peter C Bradbury delves into child trafficking in the USA, exposing the grim realities faced by vulnerable children. The story uncovers society's dark side, evoking empathy and raising awareness. #darkthriller #darksuspense amazon.com/Innocent-Chi...
Probably posting too much, but the Lansing City Pulse newspaper did a story on my latest book, Blood of the Witness Tree⦠I mean, I have to share it, right?

It's Women in Horror Month! I am a woman and I do, in fact, write horror, usually about other women in haunted houses or dying worlds or beset by eldritch deities. If any of that sounds like your thing, perhaps one of my books will interest you! #booksky
The sunset on March 2, 2023.

Sunset from March 1, 2023. Lots of red skies at night that year. This year, not so much. Today I'm rewriting an early scene in TLSQ before continuing on to the end. And--any takers out there for a short story about an arranged marriage gone wrong, but told backwards? #BookSky
Consider whether you're overwatering, underwatering, or don't have enough light. All sorts of things can go wrong--for instance, I can't grow cone flowers for more than a single season. It's not me, it's leaf hoppers. Hope you'll keep trying.
A sunset from February 28, 2025. Finally getting back to writing scenes. Also working on starting seeds for planting in the front landscape in May. An experiment. Anyone else planning a nontraditional veggie garden? #BookSky
Here's a sunset from the end of February 2022. Looking forward to this month's end of February sunset. We're supposed to have some kind of wintry mix. Good time to stay home and write--I've got three scenes I'm revising. #BookSky
What really hurts is the co-pays and the expenses. Supplies, gas, medications all take a big toll on us as Debbie needs things now. Please consider donating or sharing to help ease her burden during this challenging time. Every bit helps. gofund.me/2b8b2cee4
Radishes from last summer. My February blog, Gardening and Writing, Mostly the Same, will be online at sycoffelt.com on February 28th at midnight (assuming I've scheduled correctly). Hope to see you there. #BookSky
Sunset February 24, 2026.

Sunset from February 16. Work continues on TLSQ but not apace. Here's the story: Macy is a one-trick witch, hardwired to kill. She wants to tend a garden and live an ordinary life, but elected Summer Queen for her killing magic, what she wants isn't possible. #BookSky
A sunset from mid-February in 2023. That year was one great year for sunsets. Still working apace on TLSQ (only 20k words to go) despite weirdness from the universe. I'm living Murphy's Law but solving one wrong thing at a time. #BookSky
Thanks so much, Jeff. I've decided to depend more on word-of-mouth marketing so I can spend more time writing, and friends like you make that possible. Deeply appreciate you.
All proceeds are going towards my wife's cancer fight. The Savvas brothers have returned to the USA, and once again, stunning women are vanishing. This chilling psychological thriller is intense and will leave you breathless! π amazon.com/Catch-Brothe...
Just putting it out there again⦠would love to pick up some more #readers for my #gothic #horror novel, the first book in what will be a 3-book series.

A Friday the 13th sunset from Paola, KS. Looks peaceful, right? After the three-day delay, back to drafting and formatting the newsletter scheduled to go out on the 20th. My not quite an Urban Fantasy. Tarot card for the next 30 days. Magical aging. A book review. Join me at sycoffelt.com #BookSky
A sunset from February 13, 2023. I've been in the hospital for the past three days with, of all things, pneumonia. No idea where I picked up those bugs. Glad to be home again, especially since I missed the last week's stunning sunsets. Hope everyone out there in BlueSky is doing well. #BookSky

Last night's colorful sunset. Today I'm working on the newsletter for February 20th. Since launching the website in November, I've had lots (not tons) of visitors. If you've been out there, what would entice you to subscribe? sycoffelt.com #BookSky
Here's a sunset from February 2023. Yesterday I wrote a 1700-word chapter and found the direction I need to finish TLSQ. Yay me! #BookSky
