Katie provides the moral imperative far more eloquently than I can. For those who require an economic argument, the US research enterprise is the most robust in the world creating $100B in wealth. It is one of our most successful exports.

If you have ever celebrated me and my fight against the odds, I need you to also support science in this moment.

This isn't about politics, it crosses party lines.
Cancer research needs us right now.

Few things have broken my spirit more since my diagnosis than watching the dismantling of funding for cancer research.

Watching friends die from cancer, wishing there was more for them, while simultaneously watching the advancements to keep us alive threatened, cut, and our systems dismantled has

Real Talk on Renal Cancer: Dr Adam Stern (Episode 12) Dr. Adam Stern and host Laura Bratcher Esfeller discuss Dr. Stern's personal journey with kidney cancer, including his diagnosis at a young age, his treatments, and his experiences as both a physician and a patient. They also talk about the impact of a cancer diagnosis on one's life, career, and personal priorities as well as the importance of patient advocacy and the need for patients to actively communicate their needs and concerns to their healthcare providers. Dr. Adam Stern is a psychiatrist who previously worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and was on the faculty at Harvard Medical School. As of 2023, he transitioned from clinical practice to working in clinical trials, specifically in pharmacovigilance, which involves maintaining the integrity of clinical trials and keeping subjects safe during the trials. #Cansky never hesitate to share your story.

If you’re comfortable with it, share. It could change someone’s perspective about their disease 🫢🏻.

It doesn’t have to be a book, blog, or page. A simple paragraph will do.

As a 15+ year Apple fan I hate to admit it but iOS 18 is mighty close to making me an Android user.

Never experienced so many bugs and such unintuitive changes with Apple.

Anyone else finding a major quality drift?

Today marks four years since I walked out of the ER with a stage IV cancer diagnosis. Diagnosed at the tail end of 2020, I never thought I’d see the year 2025. Feeling extra grateful this New Year’s Eve.
