How was I not aware of this?!! Great service.

Thank you, Erica! Great coverage & context.

Thank you for doing that! I had amblyopia in preschool (corrected with eye patch though I donβt see real 3-D) & felt much better about it thanks to old Peanuts strips where Sally had it.
I treasure his Well-Tempered Clavier recordings.
Another vote for @fridaytea! Themed, geeky and great.
A Raina Telgemeier/Scott McCloud teamup!?!?!!! Itβs like an awesome weird dream but itβs true!
Thanks for the great notes!
Goodbye Theo Chocolate store in Fremont & some great memories of bringing kids there for samples & factory tours when it was locally made.

Really thrilled to be in @civileats.com & @longreads.com today.
I know we all have too many subscriptions, but this felt like an important one to add. (Also: cooking?!)
Many many thanks. I was surprised by some of these!
Great piece by the amazing @rebekahdenn.bsky.social for PCC Markets, a food co-op that serves shoppers focused on organic, natural foods. I think this is more useful than "trend" pieces by marketing agencies, which often cite campaigns they're working on for clients as "trends"

Cookbook gifts! I rounded up one for everyone in your list for @seattletimes-rss.bsky.social: www.seattletimes.com/entertainmen...
They probably smelled all the various cats on me & recognized an enemy.
Maybe they respect you because they cannot smell any fear on you?
Itβs so alarming ! They come from the sky, with claws!
!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone own a mandoline who has NOT sliced off a fingertip with it? Just saw yet another report.
For me heβll always be Jamberry (which I read easily 5 million times), Jesse Bear illos & Daddy is a Doodlebug. Rest easy (Iβm a doodlebug too.) www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2...
Interesting! We just took a symptomatic kid to be tested for it - fortunately negative - never crossed our minds before.
Glad youβre here!
A person on Twitter with the username @abesheet, saying, "@ericacbarnett : I no longer believe in America or democracy, so I am going to stop the small donation I have been giving your cause for the last few years. Won't change ur life by much but felt it needed to be said. Keep up the good work, or whatever. Hope to hear you on kuow."
Apparently, this does NOT go without saying, so I'll say it: Local news dies without reader support. And it matters more, not less, in times of great political turmoil and despair.
Just reminding folks that PubliCola, based in Seattle, is 100% reader-supported. Contributions pay me to report and write local breaking and investigative news stories and pay freelancers fairly.

The Plastics Industryβs Wish List for a Second Trump Administration
Critics call it the plastics industryβs Project 2025. Tucked into a federal recycling bill are regulatory rollbacks and industry-friendly provisions that federal agencies under Trump could adopt without congressional approval.

When our kids outgrew the swing set we put it on Buy Nothing & a couple pieces went to different homes. The tire swing wound up near the elementary school & I love passing it & seeing kids playing on their way home.
I *finally* gave in and got a bsky account, can you help me find my people? repost? i can't get the migration tools to work, one of them said "throttled by twitter" which... sounds about right.
