The World Cup has been rubbish since 2015.

DID THEY? Was the movie that won't shut up about Shane and even sabotages its own ending with a quote from it INSPIRED BY SHANE?
Think I'm the only person in the world that didn't work for but it was Merenghi levels of subtlety.
I was pretty much done with The First Descendant having unlocked most of the characters & nuked all the content. Time to be put away in a box and checked out in a year or so when there's more content.
Then I unlocked one who sings to debuff enemies &... oh, I think I like K-pop. This is troubling.
FORZA!!! ๐ฎ๐น
"True rugby folk think it is sad such petty prejudices exist..."
Oh please fuck off, would you
Pretty crazy how important the blockade of a trade route is right now
That's a bit more like it. It's still sterile and lifeless but at least you can see the space.
1. Wow, that's cool. What a nice modern building development.
2. Why the fuck is that the interior picture you're selling?
When I get around to buying a new TV and sound system, I'm getting 4K LOTR on bluray. But other than that? A few niche things that never seem to be streaming, but for the most part I'm happier with digital.
Glad I played it. Might actually get around to that Warhammer book I've got now. But it does seem to consistently be the world building that I find impressive, and not really the stories I find enjoyable.
As to the gameplay... it's okay. You're fighting bug hordes for the most part so if you want a sense of the immovable object it's there. Bit sluggish for my tastes though.
The finishers are fun though. Stun a giant monster, jump on him, punch him in the face then rip his head off. Good times.
This won't apply to everyone but every time I looked at that pauldron I thought of Rangers fans.
The sheer scale of the architecture is fun too. Final Fantasy's tried this a few times and they never feel like real places. They're levels. But all this grandiosity is covered in the grime of war - there are times it feels like WW2 Europe maxxed up - and it seems like a real world.
I also really liked the retro UI designs.
But I am kind of drawn to this awful world, where people worship basic computers and say prayers hoping they'll load properly.
...which is quite realistic, now I think about it.
Who, and I sure no fans will enjoy me pointing this out, if they bear any anatomical relation to the armour they're wearing have TINY HEADS. Which I doubt was intentional but I really like because of course they'd be genetically engineered for murdertime, not philosophy.
The basic marine design itself I don't like - I don't really like any of the designs. But there's no question that they're well designed. You'd never mistake them for anything else. These ARE the fanatical shock troopers of the Imperium.
Here for example, is a lovely example of some skull laden cleric dude giving a nice little sermon about unwavering loyalty to the Emperor (who is, so far as I can gather, probably dead millennia ago) flanked by two disgusting cyborg cherubs.
I didn't love Space Marine II, but as my first real delve into any Warhammer stuff, I'm kinda mesmerised by its gothic dystopia.
Quite enjoyed mucking about in photo mode because while it's unpleasant to behold, it's impressive in its fascist maximalism.
Because he's useless.
100% on board with the most miserable man in the game being in charge of England with someone who hasn't watched a game since 2005 as his second.
Turns out lots of other people made this exceedingly clever joke. I'm so ashamed of myself.
Money.
In which I joined a group of players on The Division halfway through their mission and did so much damage I broke the counter (2.3bn).
I don't think I've ever gotten this good at another game. Often I'm happy on easy mode. But I am very very good at this one.
I hope we play England again.
Factory worker is in this year.
People say advertising doesn't affect them but I avoided Coke Zero for years because Wayne Rooney was their frontman so...
It's so traumatic I look in the mirror and can't recognise myself anymore.
I can't compete with this.
Another planet, they live on.
