It is in the larger scale, yes. But hyperlocally, in Minnesota, there is a problem with it in leftist spaces as we organize ourselves on the ground and it really came to a head today. There aren't enough characters in a message to provide that context, but that's why I'm saying it.
Fascism does not define the extent of authoritarianism. Authoritarianism isn't a left or right issue and it can and does persist within leftist spaces.

Living in Minnesota right now is wondering if your patient is late because they got caught in traffic, because they got arrested, or because they got detained and all of these are perfectly plausible and equally likely.
What I've learned since 2016 is that you never get back to normal. You take the shattered remains of your old normal and patch them around current events because life doesn't stop happening and hope that you can still keep functioning with this new normal. And then you'll do it again next year.
