A small rodent with a patchy brown coat, this small common mammal survives by scurrying into tall grass, burrows, and any other crevice it can squeeze itself into. If forced, it will defend itself with the spikes on its face.

Day 8 of Daily Beastiary: Glidefish
The glidefish is an opportunistic omnivorous fresh water fish that flings itself out of the water to escape predators, it turns its huge back sail into the wind to steer and catch air for longer periods of time.
Day 5 of Daily Beastiary: Flitter
Flitters are small birds weighing no more then 3 pounds that hunt in vast flocks, they have sharp serrated beaks that they use to cleanly bite off chunks of flesh and long talons to anchor themselves in the act.
Day 6 of Daily Beastiary: Dungeon Crawler
These massive centipedes are blind but have excellent senses of smell and hearing, enabled further by their long feelers and sensitivity to vibrations in the tunnels and dungeons they inhabit. They wait above on the upper walls and ceiling and drop on prey.
Day 4 of Daily Beastiary: False-head Viper
This snake uses its heavily keratinized tail to fool would-be predators away from its stone camouflaged head. It can shed the long scales to get away and either flee or launch a counterattack with highly corrosive venom.

Macrochelys is a highly aggressive ambush predator that submerges itself in bogs among large logs for camoflauge, in addition to a massive bite force and goring tusks, it is built like an armored tank and can run up to 25 miles an hour.
Day 1 of Daily Beastiary: Cygnus Siren
These humanoid beasts were once man, they turned afoul of the intertwine and are now tangled in its strings. They appear before those who are dying, forced to sing beautiful songs to guide the spirit back into the weave.
