I’m pretty meh about the Red River trailer that dropped but at least I got to see Ramses.
I just finished HanaDan Season 2….where the main guy is also named Haruto….when will I escape Haruto hell….
I love princess and knight stories and I love BL. So of course I had to read this immediately.
Spoiler 2: all the parts in Los Angeles annoyed me because 1) you can’t get to all these places on foot or easily. 2) this series was 10 years too early for Haruto to get run over by a Waymo

The original main cast also shows up. Which is fine but Tsukasa and Tsukushi just annoyed me because they’re still in their loop forever and I’ll always not be 100% on board with that pairing bc… *points to early Tsukasa and also capitalism*
It is a lot tamer and the C5 gang is more forgettable. But I think they still had some cute worthwhile moments.
Ps my favorite is the family butler Kobayashi. He’s such funny and genuine hype man for Haruto
I love HanaDan/Meteor Garden! Theres a reason why it’s the bestselling shojo in Japan and has such holding power. But there’s quite some outdated and troubling parts. And honestly it could have been half the length of the 37 volumes. HanaDan 2 at 15 is perfect for me.
I’ve finally finished Hana Yori Dango Season 2. I read the first 4 or 5 books ages ago and then recently zoomed through the rest. It was really sweet and I liked Haruto’s development. It’s very HanaDan for a modern audience (san problematique 90s parts) and tighter paced.
When you had to cancel your GDC talk but it reads like you cancelled every indie funding opportunity instead. Lollll fuck
