I am so tired of this classless, clueless embarrassment of a president.

The White House put out a series of hype videos about the war. Some have been defending it by saying military members themselves share these kinds of videos.

This is true. But they aren’t the White House. The WH is a bunch of children, and have no sobriety about the serious business of war.

Send their children and grandchildren and then they will grip the seriousness.

When I first started out as a journalist I thought it paid to have a background in US history when covering America. Then I thought it would probably be better to be a constitutional lawyer with expertise in jurisprudence. Now I think it would be useful to be a psychiatrist.

ICYMI — @TimSheehyMT, the senator involved in the breaking of a Marine’s arm who was there to protest the war, appeared in an AIPAC ad and went to Israel as his “first act” as senator after getting elected

I continue to be gobsmacked at 1) how common this formulation is 2) how antisemitic and generally bigoted it is 3) and how for all the talk of anti-semitism this is never cited as an example even though it’s quite literally the original incarnation.

If you wanted to start a civil war in the US, what better way than:
- brutalizing populace w/a paramilitary police force
- start a foreign war
- crashing the economy
- interfering/stealing an election

His actions are indistinguishable from what a foreign adversary would to to destroy our country.

We bombed a girls elementary school.

Have a bomber plane from Patrick Air Force Base flying so low over our neighborhood. My husband waved to them out in the street and they responded by rocking their wings!
