For our yearly away day we went to Hastings. We had an inspiring day plotting our priorities and scheming our successes for the year to come!

We help groups to form co-operatives and acquire housing, we are currently signing an MoU with Moon Co-op mooncoop.org

4) We spoke about participation among experienced members. Members have a responsibility to participate, but sometimes life gets in the way.
After thought:
We should help each other to get back to participating after members have had a break.

3) Do we need to explicitly teach the 'co-op mindset'? Is trusting new members will automatically participate exclusive and alienating?
After all, we live in a highly individualistic society.
If we want co-ops to become main stream, we will have to address this.

2) We were hosted by the #RUSS community hub. We talked about how inducting new members is related to participation, has anyone researched this I wonder?
It made me think about the barriers to participation of new members.
Is the 'co-op mindset' a barrier in itself?...

1) We are holding regular meet ups to support co-operatives old and new in our area.
The theme for the last meeting was 'participation within co-operatives'.
We just moved from X for obvious reasons. We hope to help build the Blue sky community! We will be sharing our thoughts on co-operatives and housing in the UK. As well as documenting or journey to help Moon coop move into their first house.
