It’s the first election day of Primary Season. That means that between now and August, most elections are about choosing which Democrat goes to the general election.
Unless you live in Washington, California or Louisiana (kinda), this is a time to focus on getting the candidate you align with the most, THAT HAS THE BEST CHANCE OF WINNING, to the general election.
But, after your primary election (and runoff, if you have one,) you MUST get behind the Democrat — unless you have a race where the Independent or Green is somehow more viable, like Nebraska Senate, for instance.
For instance, if you live in Texas, and you vote for James Talarico for Senate today, but he loses, you MUST get behind Jasmine Crockett.
The first elections of primary season end today. Vote your heart in the primary, but get ready to just vote for the Democrat in the general, PLEASE, we can’t afford to think any other way.
