The federal Cons like to blame the federal Libs for many things that are the provinces’ responsibility (most of which have Con governments), but if Carney can get the economy going like he’s expected to, that will shut them up. He’s got an economics PhD from Oxford so I am hopeful.
It was closer than many of us would like to admit my friend. The Cons still got 41.3% of the popular vote (up 7.5% from 2021). The Libs managed to get 43.7% (up 11.1%). The election decimated smaller parties whose voters went for one of the big 2 to either try to help PP or to try blocking him
