CD box set: Bedhead 1992-1998 (Numero Group). Bedhead were a Dallas, Texas slowcore band that made understated, warm, intricate guitar music which is still meaningful to some people
Something I've believed since my early teens and which I still believe now is that guitar music can improve your life
Woof!
Hadn't been aware of this (shame on me!) - hugely exciting!
Ah, nice one, thank you - will do
How did you find out about this please?
π
Well-loved LP cover: Blossom Dearie - Sings (Daffodil Records, US - 1973)
Immaculate vibes here - give it a listen if you'd like to escape or even just feel a little better for a while
Brittany Howard, I believe
"He's Sweating Now"

Yeah I was really excited when I watched this for the first time the other year
It happens!
There's always tomorrow
love the artwork!
I donβt know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is
Pretty huge insult to Burnley tbf.
Have to respect FPL for playing the long game with this one
hahaha
Cool, thanks!
How did you find out about it?
Very cool!
Where/when were they selling that?
Imagine we lived in a world where healthcare advances weren't determined by a profit motive...
They don't have to be, but in the world we've made they are.
It's cool how that can happen!
In other news, I've been aware of this album and interested in hearing it for several years, but have yet to listen to it yet...
And the similarities don't just end there!
Possibly
agreed!
Check me out with the passive rook sac - so fancy
LP: The Durutti Column - The Return of the Durutti Column (Factory Records, UK - 1980) This is the 2nd pressing in a lightweight, textured mostly black sleeve with a triptych of small painted landscapes. The original pressing came in a literal sandpaper sleeve which was designed to be abrasive towards any adjacent objects!
Finally making my way around to The Durutti Column!
Proper guitar magic here - my kind of thing.
God bless artists and the people that support them.
Once again that feeling that it's all there, just waiting for us to discover when we're ready
Never heard of that Lacy et al record before!
God bless Alfred Lion for giving Cecil Taylor a budget and some rehearsal time - not something he would come by too often or too easily for the rest of his career.
These things are the same!
This one is terrific
