Saturday Night Over-the-Flu Cole Caufield is a safe bet.
Powerhorse will be pretty motivated avoid being the veteran sitting out next time.
Will be fun to see who gets matched against Celebrini.

After watching him turn into a little bodychecking machine just prior to his punch-up with McCabe, I don't think I would really want to play opposite him on a team missing suspended Gudas when he has a full game's worth of pent-up competitiveness boiling away inside him.
A DOGE staffer assigned to the National Endowment for the Humanities to flag grants for "DEI" tries to explain what "DEI" is. This deposition is part of a lawsuit by the @acls1919.bsky.social, @historians.org and @modernlanguage.bsky.social.
I enjoyed this article.
Two minor things though: "hard time living up to it" -- the to is missing. Also, is he really a Vancouver native? He didn't move to Tsawwassen until he was almost a teenager.
HOLY SHIT.
A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election.
Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?

At the center of every nuclear pore lies a mystery. Here, clumps of proteins wiggle disordered tails around like seaweed. How do they drive a molecular machine that moves so many molecules in and out of the nucleus efficiently, with little room for error? www.quantamagazine.org/disorder-dri...
Evil AND vapid.
A Tolkien quote seems very appropriate:
“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”
But apparently this is too much for these permanent teenager edgelords.
Nick Cousins was a boat anchor dragging his team down as the worst forward :
Ha, the wave, icing on the cake.
I appreciate these SN broadcast horror stories, especially funny given the big TSN logo in the NZ.
Watching the glass repair was more fun than watching almost the entire 2nd period.
Tonight, Josh Anderson, but he's been unusually bad this game. Maybe lots of the team has milder symptoms of the same thing Caufield has.
But on this topic, what do you do with a returned-to-health Laine?
F/O% is pretty (and unusually) bad so far, except for Danault (75%, jfc, how to prove what you were brought back for i.e. replacing the Dvo hole).
It was darkly funny during the anthem that the fans were passing around a giant Canadian flag while tolerating misogynist MAGA annexation-happy Tkachuk as local team captain. Maybe they're drunk on smuggled Jack Daniels and other American stuff because they misunderstand a call for "boos".
Write to The Brick and tell them that you're not going to buy any furniture from them until Galley is gone or they stop sponsoring SportsBet broadcasts featuring his commentary?
... the realization that jail would be better than Galley and that panel.

DAZN's French language feed has been broken for this event so I was stuck with a decision of SportsBet or piracy & unfortunately made the wrong choice of the former. I think I'm happier chatting with their customer service people during the intermission than if I were resigned to watching SplortsNut
NHL officiating ... and the total lack of accountability for that.
Also, Tim Stützle doing a suicide dive in the middle of nowhere is utterly on-brand; he must be annoyed he didn't draw a penalty for boarding / roughing / fighting aganst the Habs as he likely expected.
Arber was decent, play him tomorrow, tolerate him (and after tonight's little demonstration punch-up, Bruiser Brendan Gallagher) taking every penalty in the book against Tkachuk.
Jake Evans is never allowed to score a boring, straightfoward goal.

@hockeyfights.bsky.social : this little punch-up should draw in some extra visitors
This was the right frame to grab! Hang it in the Louvre.
Gallagher was a little bodychecking machine just before the fight (really, it's worth re-watching). Honestly I'm more surprised he wasn't called for any of those (or for hooking when he himself was the one being hooked and slashed and cross-checked). NHL refs, yes, but also the curse of reputation.
Gallagher: short, old, Canadian, is mostly scar tissue from many many healed-up injuries, can still throw punches at much bigger villains:
