I actually saw that as a good illustration of implicit discrimination. The store’s an equal opportunity employer, firmly in favor of fairness and diversity, but they wind up crucifying their one Arab employee because they’re willing to believe things about him they wouldn’t believe about the others.

And the truth is this: as disgusting as partisan redistricting is, I don't blame them one bit. Why? Because Republicans in states like Indiana are advancing redistricting amendments designed to eliminate every Democrat in their congressional delegation, creating a 9-0 Republican map in a state where Kamala Harris still received about 41% of the vote. That's not representation - that's engineered disenfranchisement.

Yesterday I voted YES on the redistricting amendment. One minute and very pleasant.
Tomorrow, Sun. 3/8 at noon I’ll be knocking on doors for the amendment. Talking to committed Dems to remind them to vote. Let me know if you’d like to join – or to do phone banking or postcard writing.
