That’s also the only subscription I am paying for when not counting rent/electricity/internet and probably only one I don’t want to get rid of unless I decide to live on a deserted island. Apple? Nope. Netflix/Spotify or any other streaming service? Nope. Cloud storage? Nope. TV service? Nope again.

YouTube is anything but good these days. I use it for basically all of my “time to watch something” so I am paying for YT premium. I cannot tolerate those ads and I am watching on my TV so Adblock not workey. At east creators I watch will get way more money than from all ads on a single combined.

I love fairphone and framework.

We need more companies who can dedicate their entire business to making easily repairable and customer friendly tech that you actually own and can do whatever you please with it (regarding both, HW and SW).

- Never subscribe to anything from your phone or a tablet
- Always remove metadata from pictures before posting them online
- Post online only stuff that you are ok with being used against you

You need talented individuals who actually care about what they are building and are not managed by some higher ups implementing stupid micromanagement BS. If every single feature has to go thru 30 different people just to be approved for development you will get a product like Meta Horizons.

Those companies are not composed of gamers or enthusiasts. They are not passionate about what they do, it’s just a transaction for them. They measure success only by RoI.
You cannot create a successful product that doesn’t allow for (or cannot be built with) this default corpo framework and mindset.

This year’s CES was as boring as it gets. Felt dystopian, like, well, everything these days. Slopyfied to oblivion.

It is hilarious especially when the movie was literally as political as it gets and was heavily criticising society and stuff. 🙃 I honestly believe that they just watch stuff totally mindlessly. Almost like a toddler that is able to watch anything as long as it has colours and sounds in it.

I remember when I watched some movies and shows with an actual message it was trying to say. I pointed up the message, tried to discuss it (and the movie itself) and everyone looked at me like “wha? What are u talking about?” or got mad at me that “why are you talking about politics now?”

From my experience, these people don’t really understand what a movie or a show is trying to say, what massage it pushes or what it is criticising. They just mindlessly watch without a single thought going on in their brain. It seems to me that they are just unable to comprehend anything.

I am amazed it is still somehow on the Apple AppStore. Tumblr was removed immediately after rumours started spreading. 🙃
