This ^^^ is why we need the Minnesota Health Plan. By having all people on ONE health insurance plan, our buying power increases and allows everyone access to care.
Overconsumption is a myth. Folks don't enjoy medical procedures and won't waste their leisure time getting unnecessary procedures. Like, no one will their waste PTO on a second colonoscopy.😝
Lack of care due to financial barriers is a much bigger issue than the potential for overuse of services.
