Intermediate line, weighted flies on a short leader, stripping basket, and lots of patience. Focus in whitewash or at inlets. Start early and follow the birds.

This aligns with the way the left handles communication on lots of topics. We've spent the past few decades acting as if giving people facts and figures is enough to change their values, but their values weren't based on facts and figures in the first place. The key is telling a story they can FEEL.
